My name is Max. I was born and raised in Germany but spent about six years in Taiwan in my twenties, where I became fluent in Mandarin Chinese. I have a BA in Political Science from the University of Heidelberg, an MA in Chinese Literature from National Taiwan University, and have also completed journalism school. I worked as a news editor and business reporter before becoming the China correspondent for the German media outlet WELTN24, covering the rise of China. Since then, I've worked in corporate communications in the fintech and telecom industries. I live with my wife in Sydney. I've been learning about and investing in Bitcoin and crypto since early 2021.
